The main highlight of Notepas is that it’s a portable XML Editor, which means that you won’t need to install it, and you will be able to use it on the go. In Notepas, you will find a variety of features that will make it easier to edit XML Files. Plugins : mimeTools.dll NppConverter.dll NppExport.For starters, it comes with a Code filter, which you can easily use to search the XML File and find the text you are looking for. Hey guys, can I thread hijack (as I am having the exact same issue, except for me the manual method doesn’t work as well)? If it would have been installed by the old plugin manager, you would find zlib1.dll directly inside of C:\Program Files (x86)\Notepad++\ with the same creation date as your XMLTools.dll. Now if it would have been extracted by the new plugins admin, it would have created the libs folder as well, and that one is also missing. It has been “created” yesterday, so it is definitively downloaded either by plugins admin or plugins manager, and not manually, put there as both do not preserve the original dll creation time (when extracted by gpup.exe or gup.exe), reflecting only the installation date. The xmltools.dll is inside the plugins folder, but outside of it’s (missing) xmltools sub folder. Important: do not use the old “plugin manager”, as it will not put plugins to the correct locations of newer notepad versions 7.6.0 to 7.6.3. You will need to upgrade to 7.6.3 to get the new “plugins admin” as the old “plugin manager” seems to produce this if you try to install xml tools with it.įirst please upgrade your existing notepad++ to 7.6.3 with the 32 bit updater/installer from > here <<<. The maximum i can get is the same xml tools “how to install” pop up window you see. Welcome to the notepad++ community, i can reproduce this perfectly on notepad++ 7.5.9 using the old “Plugin Manager”.
